On this 13th day of February A.D. 1888; personally appeared before me Notary Public in and for aforesaid county duly authorized to administer oaths, Jesse Dixson aged 58 years, a resident of Salem in the County of Columbiana and State of Ohio whose post office address is Salem.
Well known to me to be reputable and entitled to credit, and who, being duly sworn, declared in relation to aforesaid case as follows:
That he saw, the claimant when he arrived home in Sept 1865, and that he had a gun shot wound in the elbow joint of his right-arm the ball also wounded him in his right side and had several {word unreadable} in his back, caused by said wound. He frequently complained of his back and kidney's hurting him.
I declare that I have no interest in said case and am not concerned in its prosecution.

on this 13 day of February AD 1888; personally appeared before me, a notary public in and for aforesaid County authorized to administer oaths, Nancy Little aged 70 years, a resident of Damascus in the County of Columbiana and State of Ohio whose Post office is Damascus Ohio
well know to me to be reputable and entitled to credit, and who, being duly sworn, declared in relation to aforesaid case as follows:
Said William Little came home from Camp Chase Ohio on or about the 1st day of Sept. 1865 badly wounded in his right arm and back and that she nursed him for about two years. The first year she dressed the wounds every day. He was badly crippled in his arm & back on account o said wounds, and he often said that he wounds in his back would surely kill him. He suffered a great deal of pain.
I further declare that I have no interest in said case and financially not concerned in its prosecution.
